My life with dogs began with Snoopy, a wire-haired fox terrier my mom won at a grocery store giveaway when I was seven. White with a brown saddle on his back, he lived with us for the next 12 years. Since Snoopy’s arrival in my life, there have only been few years without a dog or two on the bed, along with a guinea pig or beta fish inhabiting our household. Today helping me around the office are my professional canine models Luna and Maya. Their duties include answering the door, sleeping and looking adorable at all times. They accomplish these duties with astonishing ease. When not photographing your pet I can be found at a yoga studio, reading a book, (ask me for a recommendation) or spending time with my family.
Like most in this profession I fell in love with photography early and my passion has not diminished. I started photographing professionally in the 1990's and I have been published in numerous magazines and showed at various art shows. In 2009, I published the award winning book Encinitas Insight a Photographer's Journey. The book is a contemporary look at the surf community of Encinitas, CA.
I specialize in lifestyle pet photography emphasizing the natural environment your dog, cat or other pet loves to be in. I know that your pet is a member of the family, your friend and companion. I want to tell your their story in a fun and lively way.Call for an appointment, and lets get started. And while you are at it be sure to take a peek at my blog. It's a great way to get to know me better.
